Love, love, love, South Shore! Piece of history still in action. Main artery of many northern Indiana communities. Price way reasonable if you compare gas, fighting traffic, and parking. You can go end to end less than 20$. You can charge your phones if you sit in the right spot. It's relaxing and comfortable. AND kids ride free except during rush hours! And they also have Freight service with beautiful big orange trains.

I've ridden it twice this year. Cleaner than I anticipated!  The employees were very friendly.  Smooth ride, too.

This train station is a diamond in the rough. The area around the station looks shady, but taking the train into Chicago for $9 is absolutely fantastic. No worrying about parking, plenty of trains to fit any timetable. I recommend this to anybody east of Chicago who wants to spend a day or weekend in the city.
