Chicken and the Egg is a neighborhood gathering spot that serves sophisticated yet approachable American farmstead fare. Our name represents the cycle of life and the importance of sustainability. We want to help minimize the negative impact humans leave on this planet.
The menu at Chicken and the Egg features innovative twists on classic American dishes. The cuisine incorporates seasonal ingredients from local farms and purveyors as well as sustainable beef, pork, poultry and seafood. Marc Taft is the chef/owner and utilizes approachable ingredients that are thoughtfully constructed and highlight what the earth has to offer. Dinner is moderately priced with entrées ranging from $10 to $20. In addition to a regular menu, lunch features a “meat and three” format that allows for quick service with prices ranging from $7 to $12.
Chicken and the Egg is a family-friendly establishment and also offers a children’s menu. We serve weekday lunch, dinner Tuesday through Sunday and weekend brunch. Our bar remains open all day and features hand-crafted cocktails, earth-friendly wine selections, artisan beers and serves food.
