Batson Children’s Hospital, part of Children’s of Mississippi, is located at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. It is the only hospital in the state devoted exclusively to the care and treatment of sick and injured youngsters. Batson houses the state’s only Level I pediatric trauma unit, pediatric intensive care and cardiac intensive care units and our pediatric surgical suite is the only one of its kind offering inpatient clinical care for a wide range of specialty surgeries. The spectrum of care ranges from well-child care for healthy newborns to comprehensive care for cancer, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, allergies, diabetes and numerous other childhood illnesses.

Mission

As part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children shares in the mission:
To provide high quality treatment for all patients using the disciplines and specialties of modern health care;
To lead the way to discoveries which will raise the health level of Mississippians and, indeed, all mankind;
To teach in a superior manner the art and science of health care; and
To respond to community needs through continuing education and outreach programs that extend beyond the campus.

If you have a concern or complaint about your child's health care experience, please contact the "I Care for Kids" line at 601-815-0123. It is answered 24/7 by Children’s Hospital clinical directors or nurse managers. They will work hard to resolve the issue and provide assistance.
