I have been a visitor (patient) at this Fine Facility myself. And to me the staff, especially the nurses, they re the best. Staff there are all very kind and courteous but mainly they have the patience one can only dream of. Now the fellow patients, that another story. (Lol) But.......if any patient became agitated or aggressive towards some one, the nurses intervened immediately and calmly diffused the situation with no problems. Think its a great facility, (JUST MY OWN OPINION FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCES) KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

This is the worst place Ive ever been. They couldnt even diagnose me correctly after being there for three months under Dr. Desai's "care" (the nurses call her the three month doctor behind her back because youre staying put for a minimum of three months.) My unit had broken windows, frequently busted heat, the food was awful, and when we heard tornado sirens they wouldnt even let us go to the basement; they made us stay on the third floor. A couple nurses were very nice and would fix my hair but quite a few were mean spirited. The only activities is to watch the same BET lineup every day, play cards, and color. The crayons are broken too. There was no therapy sessions, they just focus on medicating you until you're controllable not recovered. As beautiful as the campus is, the inside buildings are a nightmare and you rarely leave the building except to sit outside for 15 minutes if you're not on restriction.

It's a nasty place they should shut it down the wall's leaks and it's cold.. the showers don't get hot and the floors are always wet in the showers.. the food is in such small portions.. the building's are so overly out dated and scary looking..

I was hospitalized here for schizophrenia in 2017 for about a month. I was already stablized when I arrived at the facility, though, so I don't know about that part of it. The facility was great for the cost (which is nothing). The shower is hot and the food quite good. My only complaint is that I was severely undermedicated and suffered from hearing voices so loudly and brainracking that my speech stuttered and slurred. They wouldn't give me anything for it so I just suffered through it and left there half-brainwashed and outside of myself, but, I survived.

Horrible, horrible place. This place should be shut down. My mother spent several months here and it is tragic what the patients at these facilities endure on a daily basis. The governor and the legislature of the State of Mississippi do not see the value of providing adequate funding for proper staffing levels and for maintaining the facilities. Most of the buildings on this campus should be condemned and demolished. If it was THEIR family members who needed these facilities, I can guarantee you the governor and the state legislature would think differently about funding.
