This place could easily be 4 stars but again, no consistency here. Can never order the bourbon chicken without getting burnt bits of chicken. They never remove the oil from the frier and refresh it. You can taste it in the egg/spring rolls. Place could be so much better. Good thing going for them is no other Chinese restaurant in town has separated from them.
Definitely not the worst but not the best. The food is inconsistent. And it seem like the workers couldn’t communicate well. The food is meh. There are better places. It seemed Like they didn’t wash their hands frequently either. No gloves either. Update we got food poisoning
Very good and convenient restraunt. I asked for my combos and i received a large portion for a good price and amazing quality. I go here a lot and they always serve good food and very friendly staff. They gave me extra food and the food is always fresh.
The best Chinese restaurant in Mandeville! Quick and delicious food! Love the customer service! Authentically owned, perfect location and delivery is always up for option no matter where are you live on the Northshore! To include Lacombe, Abita springs and Covington! If I were able to give a 10 star I would!!!! Vegetarian options: Yummy vegetarian options! Kid-friendliness: Very kind! Parking: Multiple parking Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! Dietary restrictions: I’m a seafood person! With the twist of some carbs!
They allegedly don’t take doordash orders when they are listed on the site, and waited until after I paid to tell the dasher that they don’t even deal with doordash. Oh but you’ll confirm the order huh? Makes zero sense that you allowed me to order AND pay. Never ordering again.
Normally, I NEVER give a bad review. Today is different. The delivery person called me because she couldn't find my apartment. Ok, no biggie. Walked her thru the easy process thinking ok, all good. Wrong. I call her 10 min later because she still had not made it to my door. She tells me she is on FOOT by the pool area. I live near the pool & can see it from my balcony. I'm trying to walk her thru this. Had to put on street clothes to go downstairs to try to find her. Turns out she wasn't even at My apartment complex! She's at the one down the street! Get my food, go upstairs, and now I'm really mad. My food that has lots of sauce, is placed in styrofoam containers NOT MEANT FOR LIQUIDS!!!! It is literally all over the bag, my egg rolls are soaked, and everything is saturated! I call to let them know and I get and I quote "oh, sorry". That's it. No let me replace this, let me discount you 10%. I tell them to come get it and refund my money. They call me back and offer to remake it and bring it out to me. No. The disdain the person had the 1st time I called about the issue is enough to turn me off. I've been a patron of theirs for years and always tip 30%. I tipped 10 % of the whole bill today because of having to physically leave my apartment, which is what I didn't want to do and why I ordered takeout in the 1st place. They lost me at this point. Such a shame because normally I love this place. The issue started in kitchen when they made a bad choice in not putting the food in proper containers.
Not really an eat-in place, but great for take out or delivery. Great bang for your buck...always have leftovers, food good, try the soup too.Food: 5/5

I always have food delivered here to the shop when I'm so busy I can't go anywhere. I have been calling China kitchen for several years now and every single time they come by and drop off my food it is hot and fresh. Very happy with this restaurant and how they serve quality food.
Paying for this food should be against the law. Some of the worst food we've ever had. The beef fried rice was too salty and the szechuan chicken had no taste and was chewy.
