The food is delicious with ample servings.  The dishes often present unique faire - in a very delicious way.  The prices are reasonable for this level of quality and service.  The staff is friendly and enjoyable..  They take the time to ensure that each patron is happy.  Their personal interest in who we are makes time spent there pleasantly enjoyable.  We always enjoy eating there for the food and the atmosphere provided by the staff..

This is one of those unassuming local favorites. I have been eating here for 20+ years now. The cooks do not overcook the chicken, leaving it moist and tender, and the fresh veggies keep their flavor and crispness. They don't always use all fresh veggies, but they will leave out the canned stuff if you ask. If they have the spicy string beans give them a try.

On Tuesday, November 22nd at around 9:45 p.m. I took my son for what I was hoping was going to be a very nice late dinner. Everything started off very well, and I will admit the service was seemingly spectacular. We started with an egg roll appetizer, and lucky for me, it was large enough to fill me up. For an entree I ordered the Fried Rice With Beef. After the first bite I noticed that the rice and beef tasted TOO sweet and although I couldn't put my finger on it, it tasted "wrong" somehow. I live about 20 minutes away and I was throwing up before I pulled into my driveway and didn't stop for about 18 hours from that point. I was just able to stand up today. It terrifies me that if I had skipped the appetizer, this meal may have killed me. Thinking back on my experience,  after the server pulled my plate to box it up for me, I heard him say to someone as he turned the corner: "she hardly ate any of it if any at all." I didn't have the buffet and I wasn't trying to take any of it home with me. Fried Rice With Beef is an item that is mass made, so the chef wasn't checking to see how his customer liked the new dish he was trying out on her. So why was this said? We were the only ones left in the restaurant so I didn't get the comment confused with a discussion about another customer. I don't want to speculate that this dish was served to me purposely, but every time I run through the evening in my head it becomes harder for me to dismiss the incident off under a lesser than likely reason. My advise to all is simple: please use caution when eating at this establishment. I will post again after I approach the owner with my situation and post what happens. I saved my meal to take back to them........

I am giving this restaurant 5 stars because they were so accommodating to our low sodium request.  Everyone was very friendly and kind and they made our food just to our liking!  It is nice to have a good Chinese restaurant in our home town of San Clemente.  We also saw someone we knew that has been coming to this place for over 20 years.  They highly recommended the green tea cream.
