Good experience for me when I came in around 9pm. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The chicken burrito bowl was delicious and I haven’t had it on long time! The moment I took a bite I immediately asked myself why I don’t go here more often. All the toppings made it good! 2. The variety of toppings and sauces offered is great. 3. Fast service 4. Price isn’t all that bad and average for fast food 5. Food appears to be made from quality ingredients.
The service in this Chipotle is extremely poor. Even during rush hour, it usually takes me about 5 to 10 minutes to order my meal and leave the restaurant. However, last night I was in this Chipotle longer than expected due to a lack of service by the team. I noticed that there was only one young lady taking all the orders at first. As the line got longer, she asked multiple workers for help but they ignored her. The restaurant was busy, and for some odd reason the cashier decided to go on break or clock out during a rush. May I include, he didn’t even ask someone to take over the cashier before he left. For several minutes, multiple customers were waiting for an employee to ring us out. The prior cashier ended up ordering his own Chipotle meal & the only girl who was serving the bowls even told him out loud that there was no one in the cashier, I need you to ring up food and he did not care. The worst part is, after waiting several minutes for an employee to replace the cashier, the previous cashier butted in line & went in front of all the customers who have been waiting, to check out his own food first. I just want to conclude by saying the only girl who was working asked multiple times for help. They eventually did help her, but it was obvious they were ignoring her and customers. As a food service worker myself, I understand the stressful elements of the industry but this was really unacceptable. It was so obvious that the workers did not care.
I visited this Chipotle the other night and was met with an extremely rude and unpleasant staff. When I started in the line I was rushed to order. I asked for a burrito and a bowl, the women prepared my bowl and threw it on the counter then proceeded to help the person behind me. I asked again for the burrito and the women rolled her eyes and said something in Spanish to her coworker, Maria. Maria then prepared my burrito and continued making my bowl. Again, rushing me to select by asking continuously what I wanted. When she was making the burrito bowl, I asked her for corn cheese and lettuce with sour cream on the side. She made the bowl with corn cheese and lettuce close it up and slid it down the counter. She did made the burrito and completed that. I asked again for the sour cream on the side, she ignored me and started to complete the person behind me order. I said excuse me and she said one moment in Spanish. I waited for her to complete the tacos from the person behind me when she went to move onto the next person I asked again for the sour cream on the side so I could complete my order and check out. Maria then yelled at me" I said one minute!!" and repeated one minute again in Spanish to me, then continued to address the other customer. This was very rude of her to do being as though I was there and I asked multiple times for the sour cream on the side. I even waited Until she completed someone else's order before I asked again . She began to ignore me when I said something, and the woman who was ringing out, grabbed sour cream from the back because Maria would not acknowledge me. There then was an issue with the register and we had to wait five minutes before we could pay. After I paid, I asked for the name of worker who was rude to me. I then was told by Kayla to step to the side and she would help me in a very rude and nasty tone, again rushing me out of the restaurant. I've been said to her, I don't want to step to the side, I just want her name. She responded to me in a rude tone and says "Maria, now remember it." I've then asked her for her name which she gave to me rudely as well. I don't believe that their behavior was appropriate, it was very rude and very unprofessional of them to speak to a customer that way, and to rush them out of the store and down the line.
Food safety here is an absolute joke. I hope the health department makes an example out of them. Staff clearly don't care and are super apathetic when it comes to cross contamination. The same person handling meat will stick their hand with the same glove into the veggies. When you point it out, they just roll their eyes and say "we don't only make vegetarian here. If you want, go somewhere that'll make food just for you." Like, what do you even say to that?! If you like living on the edge, eat here because you might get food poisoning. Food is hit or miss. Sometimes it has flavor, sometimes it's bland. Sometimes it's bone dry, sometimes it's soggy and wet. Sometimes they'll actually give a damn when making your food, sometimes they couldn't care less. I get that staff prob doesn't get paid well and whatnot, but most times I've come here, it almost feels like staff is doing you a favor making your food. Most times when I'm paying I think in my head, "why am I even giving them my business?" Maybe I shouldn't anymore. Vegetarian options: If you're a vegetarian, kosher, halal, please be aware that staff have little care for cross contamination. They'll handle chicken then stick their hand with the same glove into the veggies/cheese. When I asked them about it, staff just gave me an apathetic "it's no problem". Spoke with the manager and she couldn't care less, "we don't only serve vegetarian here. He can change his glove if you want." They couldn't even understand the notion of cross contamination. The whole batch of cheese is now contaminated, what's changing the glove going to do about that?!
Update: my first review from 3 years ago is below… this place has gone from 3 to 1 in my opinion and I will not go back… we placed a mobile order and went through the line inside to add a salad. The picture below is a carne asada taco my daughter ordered online that came with very little meat… If you order from inside they said they were out of carne asada, fajita vegetables and cheese… the sign on the outside reads an 11 pm close time… we arrived at 9:30 and they were cleaning up… the grill was already clean which meant they weren’t cooking anything else…. Maybe that’s why they were completely out of so much food… one of the employees said if you order online you can get cheese we did have cheese in our online order… we were all so disappointed… next time we will go the extra mile to the kentlands! We always try to order from this Chipotle since it is close to home. It is very popular. The only thing is, it is not as consistent as other locations. If you order double meat, you get the same amount as if you ordered single. The good is usually fresh, but some how it just is off a little.
Horrible customer service they are VERY stingy with the protein and when i ask for more they would give me an attitude or say no which is ridiculous. And on top of that the chicken was cold and burnt.Food: 1/5
Unapologetically slow, unresponsive and uncaring service, visit after visit. This location never fails to disappoint, never improves, stingy on portions… I guess that’s about it. What should take 5min with 3 people in line takes 10-15 with 5 employees standing around doing I don’t know what. Would never go here if it weren’t the closest location to my house.
They are literally serving 1/3 of the meat they were serving prior Covid. So bad I get double steak and it does not fill me up. Total rice was not done well and a servant did not cover her head!
I have been ordering for Chipotle for years and every time I get it from the chipotle on Century Blvd in Germantown MD I am usually always disappointed & let down this is not the first time but definitely the last. Today I finally had it and will no longer ever go back and writing this review. Got food delivered and to start the chips were barley filled. This is not my first time at chipotle and there were exactly 17 chips in the bag..17so for two people thats 7 chips each lol. Next was that i always get extra protein and seeing that I have been doing that for over 10 years I know what double is. The picture included is borderline one scoop let alone double which cost an extra $4. I dont need it to overfilled with protein but come on this was a joke and barely a regular serving. Lastly was the flavor which as usually from this chipotle, kind of bland and dry. All in all lesson learned and will stick to the two other chipotle that are in this area. Oh yea good luck trying to call them if there is an issue because that is a waste of time just leave a review or go straight to Chipotle website for the complaint. Hope this helps someone avoid being disappointed.
Food is good, just not enough. Always skimp on amount of protein and give a lot of rice to make it look fuller. Serving staff most of the time, no greeting and look like they don't want to be there. Germantown location, Century Blvd.Food: 5/5
