Chubb Construction came to my home to fix a "stair step crack" in the corner of my basement.  While I was told that they spend significant time blocking off their work area to prevent dust, etc. from spreading through your basement, getting into your furnace, etc., I did not find this to be true.  It was a filthy process.  When they were done they did not clean up as promised.  I had to call them back twice to clean up and then ended up cleaning up myself.  It was winter and I had to continually tell them to close my front door.  Not only was it COLD but I have indoor cats.  Worst of all, water now comes in my basement through their repair.  I did not have water coming in prior to their repair.  Their response was-YOU PAID US TO FIX YOUR FOUNDATION-NOT WATERPROOF.
