Story

Igniting lives for purposeful adventure.

These five words are packed with meaning. They’re broad enough to include anyone and everyone, which is extremely important to us. Our mission includes students who grew up in the Churches of Christ, students with no church background, and every student in between. Our mission includes students from Arkansas as well as international students. We want to be a ministry for anyone, regardless of backgrounds or beliefs. If you're an Arkansas Tech student, we want you to be a part of our community. We exist to bless our campus.

The words “igniting lives” are important because we want our ministry to be the very early stages of a long life of faithfulness. Our ministry is not the end but the beginning. We hope to ignite something in the students we serve. After graduation, we want to launch our students out to bless the world as they partner with God in His mission of redemption and restoration.

The word “purposeful” is critical because it captures something that is hugely important to us...living with a sense of mission. After graduation, the ultimate win for us is when our students embrace a life of mission. They can live this kind of life as a teacher, a business owner, an engineer, a missionary, or a doctor. They can live a life of mission regardless of what they do! Our God is a missionary God. For this reason, we believe all of his people are missionary people.

The last word, “adventure,” is critical to us because we believe it captures the essence of following Jesus. The Christian life should be the most exciting, fulfilling, and joyful life a person can live. Our prayer for our students is that they will embrace their walk with God with a sense of passion and enthusiasm...a sense of adventure.
