I have had so so many Tex mex and Mexican food here since moving to Texas. The wonderful thing about this place, is how small it is. Friendly and inviting, clean, bathrooms clean, and our server Nelly, was absolutely adorable. And even though there was somewhat of a language barrier, she got it all correct. She was sweet and attentive. Chips were warm and crispy, and the chicken fajita tacos, OMG!! To die for with that fresh cilantro!!! Yum!!! Can’t wait to go back when the cravings hit again!! Thank you for a great afternoon meal with by family.
We love cielito lindo, it is a hidden gem. The food is amazing and the plates are very well served. The staff is super friendly and the service is pretty quick. The restaurant is simple and cozy, but we are there for the food. There is so many good food options it's hard to choose!
If you want some delicious, authentic Mexican food, this is the spot to go to! Everything was served hot and beautifully. Service was speedy and outstanding. My server, Celia, was an absolute boss! Loved the experience!
False advertising. Apparently, as my husband was told when picking up our food, prices on their website have been wrong for years. That is a major problem. A small queso is advertised on their website for $4.99 but when you pick up your food you are told it’s actually $10. ??? See attached photo. It’s plain melted cheese! The flautas were subpar.. 3 small chicken flautas with rice and beans for $13.99. They were ok. Looking at that price next to a small queso for $10 I’m flabbergasted. We also got 6 small shrimp with rice and beans. Their price increases are not warranted. We won’t be ordering here again.
21 Sept 2021 From the dark, heavy handmade wooden tables and chairs to the pastel walls with distressed chair rail trim and intricate stencils the feeling of a REAL Mexican cafe’ is palpable. The food seems to match, with a pragmatic nod to the Tex-Mex expectations of those living around these parts. The salsa served with the chips had a smokey, chile flavor. The mole was correctly not sweet and absolutely delightful. But the best was the Cochinita Pibil recommended by the waitress. Pork roast roasted in a banana leaf. Mmmmm-mmmmm. Leave metro Austin for a quick trip south of the border just my stepping inside. It’ll be delicious.
It was such a delicious experience! The Chile con Queso was terrific, the best appetizer! Original Mexican taste and their staff very friendly, excellent Customer Service! You have to try the Tres Leches dessert; it's just delectable.
every item I ordered was Wonderfull and truly authentic Mexican food. I can't eat texmex, so I'm glad I can come here and enjoy Mexican food. the customer service is Wonderfull and they are very nice to me and my family. they are very accommodating, I know their prices have gone up but everywhere the prices gone up, so its expected still a good deal for the quality, freshness, and taste! Vegetarian options: they can make most items vegetarian, unless its specifically a meat dish. such as the enchiladas, flautas, tacos. just ask and they'll let you know!
This place is great. We had shrimp in a chipotle sauce and chicken enchiladas, both of which were really good. The queso compuesta appetizer is fantastic, with chunks of fajita beef, guacamole, and pico de gallo. I'll definitely be back for that again and to try more of the menu.
Favorite Mexican restaurant ever. The asado de bodas is always delicious. Their horchata is also really good. The poblano sauce on the enchiladas is definitely worth trying.Food: 5/5
The food is great. Just spicy enough. Queso is made with a Monterrey cheese and is akin to Kerby Queso. Only reason not 5 stars is that they only have one server and she struggles with running the front and spends time in the back helping the kitchen for full all the online orders so service can be slow. The location is also on the small side so I can see why it seems like most of their business are takeouts.
