A gem

This gallery takes itself very seriously for a small town gallery. Don't expect to stop in this place for a gift like a local hand-blown glass ornament, etc, this is a place to go if you are looking for a feature piece for your home and are expecting to pay $300 and way up. I've seen some great glass work, drawings, paintings, and sculptures at this gallery but mostly looking through the window, rather than from going inside. Why? Because, unfortunately, the woman who is there when you go in is highly unpleasant. While I buy art, I clearly don't look like I do to this woman and I am treated accordingly. If you want to get treated like you are in River North (i.e. if you don't clearly have money what are you doing in my gallery) in a sleepy college town, you've found your place. I'd like to rate it higher, the work selected seems consistently high quality, but the attitude will scare most away.
