We went for a bachelor party and had a pig roast. The food and service was perfect. Sal was our server and was very savvy with the great whisky menu. The cocktails were done right. Thanks for the sazeracs! The chef came out and presented the pig, told us what he was going to do for sides and brought us out perfectly cooked and seasoned pig. They respectfully and artfully served us parts of the head. Everyone on the party had a great time. Thanks again for everything. We will recommend it to anyone in the Boston area.

I ordered a pasta/sausage dish that had more salt in it than probably anything I've ever eaten. While there, they ran out of any sort of IPA, which is really unforgivable. Steak tartare was passable, nothing more. My companions had burgers that looked good, and were reported as such by them. Oyster selection here is beyond good. Where this place does shine is in its selection of whiskey. They had a bottle of Basil Hayden Rye that was out of this world. Some of their single barrel offerings would outstanding, while others were just okay.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Our waiter, Terrance?, was extremely knowledgeable of the ins and outs of every dish we had questions about. The food was prepared in a timely manner, the employees were very courteous, and the drinks were quite tasty.

FANTASTIC service and atmosphere. Someone in my pasty was vegan and even though there was no options on the menu they still put something fantastic together. A+++

I was searching for a place in Boston to go sample some whiskey. I found this place listed online as one of the best places to drink whiskey. Their website listed all the whiskeys they have which is supposedly 200. I saw a couple that I wanted to go in and taste so I was a bit excited. I drove the 50 miles, in rush-hour traffic. When I got there, I was greeted right away when sitting at the bar, presented a menu of food and drink, only to find out that the two kinds of whiskey that I wanted to try, which were listed on their website, they didn't have. So now I search for another drink. Couple minutes later I was asked if I was ready to order and I said I'm still looking. I closed the menus, put them down and was perusing the brands of whiskey they have in their cabinet. 15 minutes later, not a peep from any of the bartenders back there. Yes I could've hollered at one of them to get me a drink but I shouldn't have to. So I walked out, never to return and ended up at The Capital Grille.
