When I first moved here & started riding de bus a year & half ago there was a guy that used to snicker at dropping me off 2or3 stops passed my stop. Like it's not embarrassing or hard enough to ride de bus in de first place to have to tote as much as you can carry this way & on down de street 2 or maybe 5 or 6 blocks. So things mostly went fine after that other wise. But for some time ago this past summer I had some on going problem with another driver. One day De bus was very crowded as he went to de back passed me to get a lady out of de wheel chair ramp & he.. um.. fell on me. He messed uP my hair & even pulled out a little with his zipper. If I hadn't ducked he would've busted me in face with a.. Um.. Semi 🚛? Now, i realize that de situation was a bit unavoidable. He always seemed to be a nice gentleman before though I never talked to him & easy on de eyes. There was another lady who sat by de window beside me who got uP & shoved her way passed my legs as I was a bit in shock frozen in my seatbelt still. She loudly announced "excuse me!" as she went along &i gathered my brain from de incident may have got de wrong impression that some.. Um.. Magic? moment had just occurred between de bus driver & myself? In front of all these people? He had not otherwise acknowledged to say "sorry/excuse me/pardon" did he like me? Not in a position to say so? I must've looked retarded every time I saw him crying my eyes out from embarrassment. So I took de liberty to write him a personal letter after a few months which one day I saw him & he practically kicked me off his bus. I was going to walmart & hadn't completely decided which one to go to yet from de transfer station stepping onto de Rogers DT bus to weigh my options, his route that day, demanding a decision from me then & there he sent me off his bus to de Grand bus which I wouldn't have taken anyways as I don't like to go down Grand I could've transferred at de apartment's & made a clearer decision. I handed him de letter anyways & no response for 2 months... 3 months... A long time ago but did I see him again from Roger SC bus. A quiet ride that broke my heart all over again just to see him de last time I would ride bus because I got a car now. I am still sullen over de occurrence. It is no fair to me to be in such a situation obviously de answer is NO he didn't like me he couldn't even apologize & who are they going to back-their best driver or some disabled girl crying her heart out sitting in de back? Everyone going to turn their head & cough that's de city of Fort Smith.

Being the only public transit I've dealt with, It does serve as a nice way to get to school and back home. Any real problem isn't so much the system, its really me. I am a student at Future School of Fort Smith which has managed to provide us with discounted bus passes. Jealous?

For a city of our small size, we have a great public transit system. The buses are generally on time and clean; the drivers are friendly and competent; the routes are sensible and thorough. It's a real asset.
