The customer service people clearly don’t understand how to be polite. Is it that hard to smile and be nice. Would not deal with this dept. if you don’t have to Maybe someday in the future we can pay our water bill elsewhere that would be great. I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars because the man there was actually very nice and helpful. There was a young black woman who was extremely rude though. She seems like she’s used to guarding prisoners rather than working in customer service for the city hall.
I would advise anyone not to move here wroste city in oklahoma they rob you for your money and wont take ur trash they don't tell u when they are gonna do something just do it then say we'll not my problem I almost died from Ecole because they chose not to say anything for weeks about it they are pathetic they can't even manage money bethany will rob the ppl who live here for anything they can and give nothing back
Very poor bedside manner at the front desk. Rude would be an understatement. Someone really needs to address these issues I came in to pay the past due bill for water. Which I said very specifically. She then charged me for full amount which came out to 89.00 then was very rude when I politely pointed out the mistake. Then this is the bad part not only did she double charge but instead of taking one off and leaving one charge she voided the amount ran the card again which ultimately took 129.00 out of my account pretty much emptying all but one dollar. Never got an apology just a rude attitude. I hope to get a response from an administration soon. Word to the wise use cash. Another thing I've lived here for 20 years paid at the same place and seems all the years the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree hopefully this is not the case and it gets resolved and people are treated better God forbid they have to come in and pay a utility bill.
the fact that you think that people HAVE to be nice to you guys and not the other way around.... its laughable, YOU guys work for us, dont ever forget that!!! WE DONT ANSWER QUESTIONS, YOU DO!
Its kinda funny my water bill has been the same for years. Then they hike up prices by $30. Then I notice that they are not coming every month to check meters so to me sounds like they are doing a neighborhood average which I think is illegal. Last mnth they said i used 4000gallons which is higher than usual anyways and then i get this mnths bill and it says I used 12000gallons. I suspect some kind of fraud.
I went in to open utilities at 4:50 because I just got off work and the front desk employee was extremely rude and would not let me open services because they closed in 10 minutes. I already had all the documents and deposit they needed, plus it’s a long weekend and she knew this because she asked when I needed services turn on and said “sorry we close in 10 minutes”. Knowing this was the only time I had to get my utilities turned on and getting off work early to do this made me extremely frustrated because I have had to deal with no water or sewer for 4 days all because she couldn’t take the 10 minutes until they closed at 5 to help me.
Very rude people that they have working here. Y’all need to fire them all. Especially whoever you have answering phones!!
I went in and paid them when I moved out of the city. Told them to cancel my service that day. 3 years later I get a collection notice, City of Bethany said I amassed a $480 water bill in one week.....and that week I supposedly used $480 in water was after I told them to cancel my service. I gave their collections person several bills from my house in Oklahoma City at that time, and my paper saying when I closed on and took possession of house I bought in the city. I was told we don't care if you lived here or not at the time, someone is paying the bill and it's you we don't care about utilities saying you lived elsewhere, was told they had a record saying I came in requesting them to shut off service and that I paid up to date and they don't know why it didn't get cancelled and they don't know how I amassed such a bill in one week, even though I lived 25 miles away at the time but they don't care. And collection agency Metropolitan they used had agents calling and cussing and swearing at me and using derogatory language about me and my mother. Not sure how she's involved either but this is who city of Bethany is. Do not move there
I called to complain because my trash was not picked up on Friday before Easter. The person answering the telephone was very rude and disrespectful. Insisted on telling me I was wrong no matter what I said. I just wasn't my trash removed. I pay for it!
We are bringing a Haunted Attraction to Bethany, Ok. They have been so very helpful through the process of us acquiring our permits. We are so thankful we chose Bethany!
