We are opening a new business here and I wanted to share our story.  We have had interactions with City Hall, Inspectors, Fire Department, Banks, Hair Salons, Rental agencies, Home Depot, Walmart, literally a ton of people trying to get things purchased or coordinated.  I have to say, this is the NICEST place that I have been.  Everyone is so helpful, considerate, and accommodating.  So far, our experience has been very positive.  We look forward to serving the community and making long lasting friendships with our patrons.  Thanks Lansing for welcoming us!!!

Lansing is just a place between places. It's a speed trap. It's a backwards, post-rural, ditch for farm waste and country oligarchy politics. I want to move but can't afford to anymore. I'm trapped.

Most small towns in the "post-Great Recession Era" victimize their populations by over-criminalizing and over-fining to raise revenue and keep taxes low as a political stunt. Lansing is one of those towns. I don't want to live or work here.

The fact that any city government can create a "de-facto poor-tax" detracts from the credibility of every government.
