Bought a nice little tent so our 6 month old baby wouldn't have to sit in the direct sunlight on the beach, and so we wouldn't have to rent one every time.  Turns out, the nice folks at the myrtle beach city government have banned private tents.  But you can rent one from the local government.

If you look at the main picture- you can see that it looks like a screenshot from some catastrophe movie seen. 
Most commercial beach town on east coast.
