Heather has been my stylist for 10 years. I have had my hair long, layered and relaxed, short pixie style and naturally curly in the time that I've known her. She styled my hair for my wedding and has been my go to girl for hair and makeup for more photo shoots/filmed interviews that I can count. I have always left with fiercely styled hair and makeup. She has always been honest when a style I want is not complimentary to my texture of hair or the shape of my face. I trust her completely and recommend her highly to everyone with a head of hair. :)

I have hair that nobody seems to know how to work with.  I saw Heather on a whim and was so happy that I did.  I left the salon smiling, and have gone back twice now.  She did highlights in my hair and did them the PERFECT shade for my hair and skin tone.  Do go see them.  Heather is the only one I've had do my hair, and she always says she knows exactly what I need/want, and she does!  It's awesome.

I started seeing Heather 4 months ago and I couldn't imagine having anyone else do my hair.  She does such a great job! Highly recommended!!!!

Will absolutely never return here. I purchased a Groupon for a full highlight and cut for $64. My appointment was canceled not once but TWICE. And both times within 2 hours of the appointment. I had taken off work and cleared my schedule three times. Extremely unprofessional. I finally got into the salon and was told in order to get the highlights I wanted (I wanted balayage), that it would cost me an additional $150 because I had previously dyed my hair with box dye. The value of the Groupon was $128, so they told me it would be $278 in order to have some highlights put into my hair. I'm a college student and I obviously don't have $200 to spend on my hair, so I asked for just a cut today and I would think about coming back in for the highlights. (Or sell the Groupon which I have since managed to do). Heather agreed and then took about 5 inches on my hair without even a warning. She didn't even ask if I wanted layers, just threw a bunch in, and then after the cut she curled it without even letting me feel it to see if I wanted to make changes. She didn't ask about face framing, getting my bangs cut, NOTHING. And the total was $35! That's absurd!!! AND HERE'S THE WORST PART. I marked a $3 tip on my receipt and made the total $38. Checked my credit card today and I was charged $43. Looks like someone changed my $3 tip to an $8 tip. Absolutely ridiculous, I have no idea how this salon is still in business.

The reason for going to City Salon was due to a Groupon I purchased. I went to see Heather, because I found some good reviews that mentioned her name. I got a cut on my long hair. She said she would put some "soft layers" in it, but the layers are so bad, more like random chunks of my hair being cut off. It looks so bad, now I have to permanently wear my hair up or chop it all off. It's really bad and there's nothing I can do about it! In addition to the worst hair cutting skills, this place looks ghetto. The blow drier she used on my hair seemed old and on its last leg, and the brush that she briefly used was so sharp, it left scratches on my forehead!! She used it only once, thank God! She mostly dried my hair with her fingertips & blow drier. Her nails were sharp and kept on scratching my forehead. Needless to say this has been by far the worst experience I've had at a hair salon! Never ever going back!!!
