As a former Edgewater resident, I've had my fair share of Clancy's. The food is always good, relatively authentic, and they have some delicious taco meets seafood options-- perfect for the tropical world that Flagler Ave is. It's nicely decorated and the outdoor seating (my favorite spot) has sizable TVs.
That being said, my latest trip before returning to the north was just BIZARRE. 4 adults and a toddler stopped by for lunch at about 3pm. The waitress told us she didn't know the specials (when asked) and then amended that to there are no specials... then came back five minutes later with to list off specials? It proceeded to take ~20 minutes for an app to come out and another ~30-40 minutes for 4 orders of various sorts of tacos-- the waitress wasn't sure who's meal was who's.
After finishing eating, we waited another 20 minutes before finally ASKING for the check.
It's also notable that this is fun because you can take your dog to lunch in the outdoor seating-- except, strays will run up to your dog (multiple times) and your waitress will just shrug it off. Uh? They probably ought to invest in a fence. 
Food is awesome, atmosphere is awesome, but the staff is lacking. It may have just been the time of day, but it has DEFINITELY made me second guess going again when I'm back in town.

Last night I stopped in for a quick drink and stood at the bar for a good 10 minutes without even being acknowledged in a 75 percent empty restaurant. My partner had just experienced the same treatment.
I used to love Clancy's but will not be going back anytime in the near future. As a server myself I cannot handle being blantantly ignored.

Pretty overrated if you ask me. Sat in a nice spot in the sun, nice server. Blah margaritas, salsa tasted like tomato paste, tacos just kind of cafeteria style... There are so many fresher, more creative places around, we don't have any reason to go back.

When to dinner at Clancy's last Friday night with my best pals from Church the food was excellent!  I love sitting at Clancy's over great food with friends in the cozy warm Christmas atmosphere. Alex waited on us and did a great job!

Good food, great service, servers with good attitude and a sense of humor. Convenient location, very spacious inside.
