I can only give a review of the bar, because hubby and I only stopped for about an hour to have a drink. The happy hour started around 4pm , 1/2 off well drinks . The bartender poured a healthy shot of rum to our rum/cokes. Of course it wasn't a Captain Morgan, but for the half price it was good. From our vantage point at the railing adjacent to the bar we were able to spot a couple of dolphins frolicking across the water. Also, a pelican lazily perched on the boat ramp nearby. Good atmosphere for an afternoon drink after spending the early afternoon hours at the beach. We'd really like to return on another day , but later in the evening to watch the sun set on the water and also there is music for entertainment.

I am sending this message to relate the experience my wife and I were treated to by a New Smyrna Beach dining establishment. I made a reservation for 7:00 p.m. on April 4, 2018 at The Grill at Riverview. When we arrived the hostess first pretended not to find the reservation. Then she advised that all she had was a high top on the deck. As we were escorted to the high top, I pointed out and inquired about several open tables along the outer edge of the deck. I was advised they were reserved (mind you I had a reservation). When we were seated, we were completely ignored by wait staff, while several parties of seemingly well-to-do retirement age folks were seated, rearranged tables and chairs, got greeting and hugs from most of the wait staff, and promptly received a drink order. After waiting approximately half an hour, I stepped to the hostess and inquired if there was a certain “club” or “organization” that I needed to be a member of in order to receive service. We then waited another five minutes only to have a waitress come explain to us that there was only an abridged menu served on the deck. I advised that was not explained to us and that I made my reservation for DINNER! What followed was several more moments of being ignored. So my wife and I left to seek an establishment that specialized in hospitality. It was quite obvious to my wife and I that this establishment caters to a very narrow class of customer and NO ONE ELSE. Their actions were deliberate, elitist, snobbish and anything but professional. My main objective in sending this communication is for you to share with your readers so they do not go to this establishment mistakenly believing they will receive service and hospitality

Free valet parking. Reservations were accepted and we were seated promptly. They offer gluten-free food options and the food was very good. No one at our table ordered anything that wasnt delicious. Live entertainment outdoors and great service.

Excellent food great service. Waitress recommended the swordfish and it was great. Cloudy night so no sunset but the place is great would highly recommend it!

If you want to sit on patio make reservations but make sure they give you a yes or no. We called ahead only to get there and had to sit inside. That’s how They get you there and then tell you they don’t guarantee outside seating. Food is always good .
