I've been hiking throughout the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park for years. Claremont is such a wonderful city and the fact they make outdoor recreation a priority really sets them apart. The trails are always tended to and clean. I never feel unsafe regardless of where I hike and go in this area. They have installed trash cans and various portable restrooms throughout as well, which is nice. I highly recommend this area.

Loved this hike! It's a 5 mile loop with slight incline. 2 large parking lots. There isn't much shade until you get to the top so go early!

Great 5 mile dirt loop to hike, walk or run. It has a steep hill, whether you turn left or right. I'm a regular runner & I would say it's on the difficult level for newbies. There are benches to rest & enjoy the view. Paid parking lot, $5 on weekends now (May 2017). But now that you must pay, it's finally paved, always maintained, & there's plenty of open spaces.

As a person with a disability who likes to test limitations, it was well worth it. To the people who are in wheelchairs, as of right now I wouldn't go. The ground is uneven due to the rain. But I heard a few people say it's usually evened out. To individuals with physical limitations that can walk. I advice to go with someone or take your cane. Even if you hardly ever use it. Great challenge and gorgeous scenary. Also, people there are very friendly. Make sure to take water, sunblock, and a hat.
