Lakewood Hospital almost potentially killed my best friend. She was having dinner and started acting abnormally yesterday. 911 was called and she was rushed to the ER and every single technician working, nurses and doctors automatically assumed she was on drugs. Sh was told several times it was a drug reaction and was put into a dark room with every one of the staff judging her and making assumptions before even doing a single test. Her toxicology results came back all clear and suddenly the attitudes of the entire hospital staff "helping" her changed and they began treating her a little more nicer. This is unacceptable behavior which could of potentionally caused a whole lot of problems for the staff at Lakewood Hospital.

Untill the new facility is up and running this place is very quite and actually very relaxing to come too.  Free valet parking as well. Something that is so unheard of for a Cleveland Clinic Facility.  No one should ever have to pay for parking at a hospital.

I went to the emergency department because I was having severe pain in my back and leg. They acted like i was was over reacting and just trying to get pills and actually made me take a drug test. They didn’t do any X-rays or testing and told me to take some Advil and sent me home. When I was able to get to my regular doctors I was diagnosed with a bad case of spinal stenosis causing profound weakness in my leg and sciatic nerve damage. I gave two stars because they admitted me right away, It was clean and the nurse was very nice.

I was doing my internship in 1963--foreign medical graduate from Kolkata,India. I loved hospital as a new comer to U.S.A. I   Loved the hospital. Patients, doctors and friends were cordial The hospital wanted to keep me there for further residency .But  I moved to New York  and spent more than 50 years in New York and served the patients as a board certified internist and Oncologist . I am now eighty year old and living in Pelham, West Chester County with my wife. I have two well established sons, two daughter in laws and two grandchildren. I still miss Lake wood hospital who received me first. I tell the story of the hospital to members of my family .Wishing my best wish for the local people. Binode Das, M.D

I went in for a simple nephrostomy bag I was seen pretty quickly they said they didn't have what I needed so instead of letting me leave they gave me and brand new IV bag with a brand new IV tube empty out the water out of the bag pulled out the spike from the tube and connected to my nephrostomy tube
