This is a GREAT park.  It is very open.  It has a great walking or running path.  The play structures could definitely be updated though.  The play area is sand, not wood chips or rubber.  There is a rocket her where the kids can walk around a winding enclosed staircase to the top, to get a view of the park.  There is one set of bathrooms in the middle.  It's usually pretty dirty though.  There are several fields here.  Great for playing frisbee or whatever sport you desire. There are a couple baseball fields and one basketball court.  There is also a sand volleyball court.  There are two large picnic areas here.  Both have shade from trees.  This place would be great for events since it is so large.

This is a nice park. Situated right next to the Santa Monica Airport, if you like watching planes land and take off, this is a great place. If you like to play soccer, or other sports, there are lots of groups that meet here. There  are two tennis courts that are first come first serve. They are open pretty late. The do have a baseball field, but I believe it is for organized sports only. It is a great place for picnics and parties but picnic tables and areas book fast so you might have to get there early. The sidewalk goes around the park like a track. The large track is .73 miles in circumference.

I like this park, always well maintained. Bathrooms kept clean. There are some brave  yet fun squirrels that will steal your food if you're not paying attention.

I use to live in Santa Monica. Met friends and celebrated my birthday in the park. Excellent park!

Within the boundaries of that park you'll find an array of beautiful people from various cultural origins. Plenty of shade to grab a nap.read a book or just relax and watch the world collect it's time.ENJOY BE SAFE .OH NEXT TIME YOUR GRILLING YELL OUT MY NAME. I can bring thoughts to your conversation that you wouldn't think of.
