Overated. For a $30 cover i expected a lot more than what was out there. The bartenders can't make drinks and get pissy when you question them. I give the bouncers 4 stars they were cool.

I called and messaged the club about having my birthday party on Sunday 12/17 (my bday is 12/18) with a VIP section. In a fb message, I was told to leave my phone number and someone would contact me. When I received the phone call, i explained my wishes to the gentleman with whom I was speaking. He stated that I would receive a letter and invitations in the mail. I received a letter two days later with 10 invitations. The letter explained to me what I would be receiving for my birthday party. Nothing I asked for was on the letter! They even had the day of the week messed up (I asked for a party on a Sunday night n they gave me Friday night). When I called both of the numbers on the letter, I left a message on each. Neither of my phone calls were returned.... So on the night of my party, I was entitled to nothing. On top of my guests having to pay $20 (it's not the money, it's the principle), I had a horrible panic attack and the ladies at the front couldn't have cared less. The way this place conducts business is horrific. I've had several birthday parties at onyx, so being treated like this was unexpected. I may return and change my rating once it's under new management. hopefully, that will be soon.... happy 35th birthday to me

Worst club experience ever. Very nasty security & staff. Bathrooms are small & filthy. Strippers are lazy. If you're coming from out of town looking for a decent night club do not waste your time or money at Club Onyx Philly. As much as they promote this club you'll think it'll be what it's heavily hype up to be, however such is not the case. Never again.

Had a great time. Cant wait to go back. Onyx is the best strip club i have ever been to. Great girls there and very sexy.

Me and my family came here for the first time from Jamaica and Chicago and the experience was horrible. We paid our entry fee of $30 dollars each and proceeded to go to the bar. We were then told that the bar is closed. Since we are not from Philly we had no idea the bar closes at 2 since the club closed at 5 am. We walked back to the cashier and asked for a refund since we came from far to enjoy our night life. They refused to acknowledge us and then we asked to speak to management. It took about a half hour for the manager to speak to us just to say he will not issue any refund or even a partial refund. This is absurd! Yes we are aware that this is a gentleman's club, however we wanted to have an alcoholic beverage as well. Onyx nightclub is a joke and the management is unprofessional to tourists! We will never return!
