I really enjoyed both visits and plan to return if I'm back in town.  Delicious food with complex flavors and textures.  The chef here is really putting something special out there.  So far this has been the best food I've found in DC.  I had fish both times, so I can't speak to the steaks.  But people with me agreed it is one of the better options in the area.

Monday Prime Rib special was overcooked. I asked for medium. It was served well done. Sides:  mashed potatoes and string beans were decent.  The BF ordered the crab cakes. They were fabulous. However, his sides were less desirable. Overall average meals.

The epitome of "just okay." They serve what I would describe as upscale bar food but the only part that makes it upscale is the prices. I got the burger and it was okay but the fries were soggy and bland. I've also tried the chili on a previous visit and I'm pretty sure it's from a box. I like the fun interior though, and the service was nice.

Waited almost 10 minutes for the bartender to stop chatting up a group of suits, with the rest of the bar staff also ignoring me. When I finally did get her attention, she was rather dismissive until I took of my overcoat and she saw my suit. Suddenly she was interested and chatty. Not cool. Beer was decent. Food was over-priced, especially given the service.

Casually classy place with model planes hanging from the ceiling, ships in glass cases, vintage cars on open display, and a functioning model train that runs the ceiling perimeter of the restaurant. Medium dark woods, green leather booths, well distributed light. Service is almost always expedient, polite, warm, friendly, and professional. They have a pretty extensive menu and make most of what's on it well, though there are exceptions. Some dishes I've enjoyed but have been disappointed by the amount. That's a downside but you can ask the server questions about the dish and make specific requests if needed. They also validate parking. All in all, a place I very much enjoy.
