We went to The Coast for the first time ever during DINE OUT Vancouver. We had Stephanie as a server who was, hands down, the best server we have had anywhere. Ever. She was absolutely charming, welcoming, helpful and made our date night experience simply perfect. As for the food, we did not end up ordering from the DINE OUT menu. Instead, we shared a calamari appy, we each had a clam chowder and then we shared the seafood tower. It was all delicious, fresh and well presented. We were very surprised at the portion size of the soup, especially. The clam chowder was DELICIOUS and a huge bowl! For a nice night out or special occasion, we will absolutely visit again.

Dine out Vancouver visit:

The decor is very romantic and fancy, we got a seat upstairs that can overlook the bar and kitchen. 

Appetizer: lobster bisque - the flavour is awesome, but I think they can improve on the presentation 

Main: seafood cioppino - nice and rich tomato base but there is actually more potatoes than seafood.. 

Dessert: banana coconut cake - nice touch having some citrus fruit on the side because the cake is too sweet. 

Overall: nothing too outstanding from the dine out menu. I could recommend order from the regular menu instead of dine out.

Horrible service, server competition, discussions between servers in front of us without any filter, second turn down when a server ignore us because we weren't his table. First time and last time. I went to celebrate my wife's birthday, not anymore.

The happy hour menu is good enough.
Everything is great including the oysters ! We order 8 dozen and so many wines!!
It's a good place for friends gathering or dating!!

Celebrated New Years 2018. Very good eating experience - the lobster, ahi tuna and ribeye steak were delicious and well prepared. The desserts were over the top(see photos). Our servers was exceptional, very attentive and helpful the entire night. They also had a lively band. Overall, very pleased with Coast and a great restaurant selection to close off 2017 and celebrate bringing in the New Year.
