It was a nice stop by to grab something for a quick lunch and sit by the window to watch passers on 7th Avenue. Interior is cozy and has variety of seating options. If you are lucky, you can rest on comfy chairs and finish some work on the side as well. I had the smoked salmon toast which was excellent and they also do yummy cortado. Their House Blend is also very tasty and I grabbed an additional double espresso.
Coffee shop with plenty of indoor seating. It seemed more like a “work” cafe rather than a talkative social cafe. I got the Woke up in NY blend which was very chocolatey and had a sharp, “grain” texture. Baristas were kinda slow when I went, but not a big deal. I don’t think I’d come here every day for a coffee, but it’s a nice & clean coffee shop for anybody to visit.
I am hot choc lover, ordered one. Got very strong & watery one even though it was made with whole milk. They have only regular size available which is very small maybe even less half cup like espresso shots. Cost $5 something. Just thru away into trash. Cashier is polite, friendly. That’s the reason giving 3 stars. Don’t recommend at all
Overall rating: 4.5 That almond croissant was $7. It was good. And I already knew the coffee was going to be expensive. That’s the world we live in. But for the croissant too I though I had a few years left. Surprisingly, steep prices aren’t the reason for this rating. There are some tables that say this is a “laptop-free table”. I go into a coffee shop during the workday to work. Limiting tables is a bad look in my opinion.
My son loves coming here for their slow drip coffee. He and I shared one from Yemen. I loved the presentation. It did have a great taste. I'm glad he picked that one. This is a small yet bright and cozy place to sit and sip some caffeine. My husband says his Americano was somewhat light. They have a small variety of pastries to choose from. We didn't order any food here. The prices are a little steep.
Nice atmosphere, and has a small but decent selection of sweets and savories as well as drinks. They have both Vegan and Vegan and gluten free pastry items and thankfully, more than just one choice to choose from. The reason this place does not get full marks is because they still charge extra for vegan milk.
Great staff that really knows their coffee and a plus that they keep gluten free goodies separate from gluten treats Maybe not best for cross contamination sensitive celiacs. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan
Black Sesame latte wasn't good I couldn't even taste the espresso, at all, chai spices were "off" too much ginger maybe?, but the place was nice.Food: 1/5
Awesome new coffee spot in Chelsea. This place is huge inside and has plenty of room to work. I spent a morning here and grabbed a ham and cheese croissant and a cold brew. The baristas were super friendly and knew their stuff. The croissant was absolutely perfect. Super flaky, buttery, and delicious. This may be a new work spot for me since it’s super close and a great vibe.
Chelsea Coffee Project is one of my favorite coffee shops to work from. It’s usually not too crowded and there is a lot of seating! The coffee here is also high quality! Last time, I got the seasonal Sakura Blossom latte and loved it- the flavor was subtle and tangy without being overly sweet. I also got a vanilla pink guava twist, which had a decadent guava pastry filling. While a bit too sweet for me in the morning, this was a delicious pastry for satisfying my sweet tooth later in the day. Highly recommend Chelsea Coffee Project to anyone looking for a quiet coffee shop to work from in the area!
