Terrible company that doesn’t respond to maintenance requests and looks for any and all reasons to keep as much of your deposit as they can. I would WARN anyone away from this company

I am so sick of renting from properties that don't fix anything for you while you're renting from them, and then nickel and dime you when you move out so you only get a fraction of your deposit back.

Coldwell Banker is the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. Not only did it take them a week to even send someone out to look at our A/C when it broke (in 100+ weather) they then told us to just go to a hotel for those days if we couldn't take it, and didn't offer to pay for it. The landlord eventually gave us $200 for the week about 3 days later, after we had already been staying with family in another town. When we tried to hook our fridge up to the waterline (that was already there when we moved in) it started leaking and then they tried to charge us for the water damage. I told them I wasn't going to pay for a leak that wasn't our fault, but the woman in charge of maintenance said "Filtered water isn't a necessity so we aren't covering it." They also used that line when our dishwasher broke (also an amenity THEY provided) and wouldn't send someone to replace it. After constantly sending maintenance requests they finally sent someone who opened the dishwasher, said "it doesn't look broken" and left. 3 months later our dishwasher is still broken so they send someone else out who takes the entire thing out of the cabinet, says some piece is burnt out and it will have to be replaced. Leaves and never comes back. 6 months later we move out, it's still not fixed, and they say it's our fault for not reminding them.

A month after we move out, we get our "deposit" back. They charged us $150 to clean the house (we got someone to professionally clean it), $32 to replace 8 light bulbs (again, I did that before we left), then charged us TWICE to mow the lawn and fill the holes in our backyard (that was actually a reasonable charge, but no reason to do it twice.)

If you are looking to rent in Lubbock, DO NOT RENT FROM COLDWELL BANKER. They're a bunch of crooks who will nickel and dime you for everything, overcharge you for rent until you hassle them about it, and blame you for everything that THEY didn't fix when you moved in. Lucky for us we have pictures of everything when we moved out, and we will be disputing it. I would give negative stars if I could.

Although my experience with Coldwell Banker Property Management has been brief, I have no complaints. They are pleasant and have taken very good care of us, so far. The vendors they have sent for maintenance have all been very pleasant, as well. We are very happy in our new home!

The staff at Coldwell has been friendly from the first time I contacted the property management department about rentals. Now that I'm a tenant, any concern I have brought to their attention has been taken care of in a timely manner. I would strongly recommend this group.
