Went in for breakfast during a weekend stay in the area.  The wait was minimal the hostess and waitress were both very friendly.  Food was great, all home-cooked to order!  Our table ordered from both the menu and the buffet and we were all pleased with everything.  Coffee was fresh and hot and free which was nice.  Restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean.  Definitely planning to return for lunch/dinner next trip up.  Has that hometown feel we were looking for.

So. My daughter was hired there a little under a month ago. Last week her boss was looking for someone to cover a Sunday shift. Like a few times before my daughter offered to take the shift but later realized that she took the shift forgetting that it was my granddaughters(her daughter) baby shower that same day. Anyway long story short. After trying whatever she could to get off so she could go to her daughters baby shower the boss to told her that she had been there to short a time to bring such commotion and fired her. These people are like a clique of high school girls. If you don’t fit in then out you go.

It seems this place is a hit or miss. My first time here, was absolutely wonderful. Sat at the bar, had couple beers & ordered food. Staff was pleasant and the hot chicken sandwich was delicious. Times after that though, staff almost seemed lost & food was okay.

The food and service here was absolutely atrocious. The worst dining experience I've ever had. My "turkey dinner" was equal or lesser than something you'd find in a Hungry Man frozen dinner. My fiance, who will usually eat almost anything, couldn't finish her soggy and somehow simultaneously dry steak sandwich. My son's favorite food is cheeseburgers. He ALWAYS finishes a cheeseburger. He made it through less than half before he started saying "blech!" It was just as cold as my squash, which I was only able to take one bite of. Their attempt to "dress up" their canned cranberry sauce was laughable and the stuffing that accompanied  (or stiffly sat on top of in spongy dry ice cream scoop balls) my turkey was the worst stuffing I've ever seen let alone eaten.
The specials were different on one board from another and both were different from the ones on the sheet they gave me. The special I wanted was unavailable. The waitress didn't know for sure if that was true when I asked (citing the inconsistencies on the special boards as the reason for my confusion) and took almost ten minutes to figure it out for sure. The prices did not reflect the quality of their menu or the food.
I left an undeserved tip of $20 on a $63 check JUST because I didn't want to ask or wait for change. Never go there. You're life will be better for it. Trust me.

Husband and I stopped for dinner and drinks.  The usual bartender, Judy, was on vacation, the substitute made such weak drinks we had to order a shot of alcohol to add to our drinks. When the bill came we were each charged for two drinks.  Waitress told us she was told to do that. Service was fine, food was good but bartender sucked.  We won't be going back unless Judy is working. When my husband stopped to talk to the bartender she gave him nothing but attitude.  Shame on you Cole Farms!
