The staff at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home were amazing, compassionate, and so professional. My fiance suddenly passed away and was only 48 years old. I was so devastated that I cannot tell you much of what I did for the next week and a half. My memory has blocked that out except for a few small vivid details about certain times. One of those time that are so vivid to me is picking up his ashes. I couldn't even walk and they help me get inside the building and went through the whole process with me making sure I understood how this type of situation works. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at this funeral home. I moved back to my home state in Virginia shortly after losing my fiance but I would highly recommend Colonial Chapel Funeral Home to anyone near their location. I have attached some of Tony and my favorite pictures taken together over the years. He is an amazing man and will be greatly missed. Birthday 1-16-1969 Death 9-21-2017

We as a family were amazed at the personal, compassionate, professional care we received at Colonial Chapel.
There is not one thing we would change. 
     The facility is beautiful and roomy, allowing for easy movement, and comfort.
     The video they produced was nothing short of phenomenal.  Because of the time crunch, we handed them a sack of pictures, with the song titles scribbled on a napkin.  The video was done beautifully in a few hours.
     Paul worked with the news paper because the time was so short.
He began all the paperwork, and made initial contacts.
     We felt no pressure at all concerning the financial aspect.  We felt they were quite reasonable.
     I was concerned about the flowers.  Paul kindly took a picture of each arrangement, with the senders information.  That was so helpful for sending thank you notes.
     They continued to be available to answer questions, and provide all the support needed, long after the service. 
     I would recommend them without any hesitation.

I can not tell you how above and beyond amazing Paul at Colonial Chapel was in helping us with my mother's memorial service.  She had preplanned with the previous owner of this funeral home and I was not impressed.  Did not know what to expect with the new owners ( Paul purchased the chapel  over two years ago) AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING is all I have to say.  Paul and Katie planned the entire event with amazing ideas.  The service was perfect.  Paul actually made it fun.  He was there for our every  need and had the most creative wonderful ideas.  His video talents are incredible.  Everyone asked who made our video for the service - it was Paul - I tell you , he is amazing!!!! The previous owners were all about sell, sell, sell  items we did not need.  There was no sales pressure with Paul.  We really felt he was there for us.  I don't have enough positive things to say about this funeral home and Paul the  funeral director!  Thank you, so very much!!!

Our experience was excellent. I can't say enough good things about Paul and how we were treated. We experienced a passing on a Thursday morning and they were able to meet with us and make all arrangements for a Saturday afternoon funeral.  Not only did they make the experience easy and painless, we felt the price was great on top of it. There was no pressure to upgrade on anything and he was open and honest about what the prices would be. In the end they took care of all the life insurance paperwork and the insurance company paid them directly. We were stressed about creating a video slideshow for the funeral and they told us they would take care of everything.  All we had to do was provide the pictures (digital or paper) and a few songs and they would take care of the rest.  It turned out excellent and way better than we could have done on such short notice, it was a huge burden taken off our plate.  Would highly recommend to anyone.

My brothers and I cannot say enough about Paul, Scot and Katie.  The amazing thing is that not only are they very professional but they also add a personal touch that is very comforting during a stressful and heartbreaking time.  Every aspect of our experience was exceptional and that made a tough time  easier to endure.  And thanks for the Doritos at the reception; how sweet!
