Story

Roper & Sons Funeral Home is now in our 115th year of serving Lincoln, Nebraska families with honor, integrity, and dignity.

Roper & Sons Funeral Home was founded in December 1901, when Charles H. Roper began offering funeral services with Charles Beecher. The first facility opened at 124 South 13th Street, and began the longstanding tradition of offering funeral services with the honor, integrity, and dignity that Lincoln deserves. The current building at 4300 O Street was opened in 1959 and continues as our primary facility today.

Roper & Sons Funeral Home continues to uphold Charles H. Roper’s commitment to serving Lincoln residents and the surrounding communities as well as keeping the business in the hands of family. The business is now managed by Tom Roper and Dean Schneider, along with Bill Roper and Charles "Pooch" Roper.

Thankfully my family has not had the need to use funeral services in the last several years, but I have attended services at Roper & Sons on many occasions. Their facilities are beautiful and the services are conducted with dignity and respect. I have been very impressed with the business of Roper & Sons. In addition to offering beautiful facilities and services, the company conducts many worthwhile educational events that benefit the entire community.

I worked with Dean Schneider and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and my experience. He made sure everything was taken care of and I didn't have to worry about anything. Any question I had, he was right there with the answer. He was very caring with my Mother and made everyone feel special.                     Thank you Dean.

They were very helpful in determining what to do with my In-laws after they deceased.  Great options and some very reasonable plans.  The coffin show room is also well laid out, and informative.

Had a wonderful experience at Roper and Sons educational evening.  Listened to a Business Coach speak of what holds us back as humans and how to reach our goals.  Helps to know that other folks have the same mentality and you just have to learn how to push through doubt and fear, know that great things will come!  Thank you to Roper and Sons to have such great education to share and it is free!!!

If you are looking for a top quality funeral home, you shouldnt go anywhere besides Roper and Sons. I can name off a whole list of reasons but the few that come to mind are because they care, they have been around for over 100 years so they know what they are doing, and you wont find kinder people on the planet.
