The distinctness of each States’ Capitol building never ceases to amaze me. Colorado’s is no exception with huge, elegant dome stretching into the cloudless blue sky. The officers are security are super helpful not only for instructions at the Capitol but also for recommendations around the city.

They offer a tour that is about an hour long.  There are lots of little facts thrown in unless you take the tour.  The best part of the guided tour is going to the dome which overlooks Denver, but that is only accessible for those on the tour.

Usually only come here in summer and at Christmas for their awesome lights. Here today and the wife took a good pic, must share. Got to love Denver.

Cool historic building.  Underwent restoration a few years ago.  Looks gorgeous.  Must go through TSA like screening to get into the building.  Very informative free tour of the building and its history.  Take lots of pictures.  There is an information desk at the Colfax entrance.  Bathrooms are in the basement.
