Columbia Crossing is managed by Susquehanna Heritage as your gateway to the Susquehanna Riverlands and trailhead for the Northwest River Trail.
Columbia Crossing River Trails Center is located in Columbia River Park at the southern trailhead for the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail. This beautiful waterfront facility was opened by the Borough of Columbia in 2015 and is managed by Susquehanna Heritage, a regional non-profit organization that is also the designated manager of the Pennsylvania Heritage Area that includes Lancaster and York Counties.
Services offered at Columbia Crossing include visitor information, maps, guides, exhibits and programs about Columbia and the Susquehanna Riverlands, along with public restrooms and an outside covered picnic area. The building is located on the old site of the lumber yard owned by William Whipper, one of the original founders of the Underground Railroad.
