I cannot believe the horrible experience I had. I recently went in to have my wisdom teeth extracted, all four of them, and so of course I was a little scared about it. I basically got scolded by my oral surgeon about how it's not that bad and to calm down. Granted, it was in my best interest to stay calm but the way she handled a scared patient was very cold. During the whole time I was in there I was sweating uncontrollably, I couldn't stop shaking, I couldn't stop crying, I kept hyperventilating no matter how much I tried to control myself and calm down nothing I did worked. I almost fainted as well a hand full of times. I truly feel any other dentist or oral surgeon would see someone reacting so negatively and try their best to accommodate and help their patient feel better. But instead I got treated as if I was being a pain in her ass. And on top of everything it was excruciating pain. I'm aware it's not going to be a pleasant thing to have teeth pulled but I could feel almost all of it, and what I'm sure is more than I was supposed to. I tried telling her too, a few times, and all she did was basically call me a liar. Once that hell got over with I was sent on my way with practically no guidance and no directions. They sent me with a single one sided sheet of paper of instructions but they didn't give me any advice what so ever and let's be serious a peice of paper can only help you so much. I'm currently in the process of trying to find somewhere else to go for my follow up appointment because nothing in this world will ever make me step foot again in their establishment again. I haven't been able to sleep since I had my wisdom teeth out for the simple fact that I've been waking up in sweats and tears from nightmares about everything that went down while I was at my appointment. I am literally haunted by this terrible experience. I advise....DO NOT GO TO COLUMBIA DENTAL DO NOT CHANCE IT DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! I hate myself for not doing more research before hand but it is what it is. Just please heed my warning and steer clear!!!!!!

I will never recommend this place to anyone. The staff were friendly, the dentist I saw was horrible. He rushed between two of us patients, never listened to the girl in the other room because I could hear, he never listened to what I was saying, basically said he could do nothing for me, but never really examined me and was abrupt and sent me on my way. I cried all the way home. The examining room was not the cleanest. The girl that did bring me to the room was nice, it wasn't her fault.

Dr Podrasky. Along with Nicole Mendez were amazing with making me feel comfortable and taking me through the process of filling my cavities step by step. I was scheduled with another doctor and I requested Dr. Podrasky and he was able to accommodate me and fill my cavities. I highly recommend common here if you suffer with anxiety about the dentist.

They're not in compliance with standards of the American Dental Association and the American Thyroid Association that include use of thyroid shields for X-rays. Children are especially in need of precaution and protection from thyroid radiation. Look at the ADA's Image Gently campaign and the ATA's recommendation for thyroid shields. Look at the reviews from people who have received unacceptable treatment. One of my children was only provided a thyroid shield for bitewings because I insisted. The apron wasn't equipped with the shield and one was brought in and placed over the neck of the apron. The other child was xrayed before I came into the room although I specifically asked to be present for the services. I was told by the hygienist, Allison, that the thyroid shield had not been used for the X-rays. In both of the treatment rooms I was in that day, neither apron hanging on the walls had thyroid shields. I was told they do not use thyroid shields for the hygienist. Discussion took place among the staff concerning my verbalization of displeasure. Threats about libel will not change facts. Claims that all aprons are equipped with thyroid shields will not hold up to photographs proving otherwise.
