We had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the first call to reserve to checking out. Every time we needed something, they were happy to help. The pool and spa were wonderful, the free breakfast had so many options and the the bed was very comfortable. We'd definitely stay again.

This hotel was a complete let down. While the decor in the lobby is nice, parts of the hotel need major updates. We are a family of 5 with 3 children, but we were still placed in the middle of the hotel on the 2nd floor! This logic always baffles me and I'm sure upsets the people placed below us! This price for a one night stay here in a very standard room​ was unbelievable. Definitely not worth the price!!! The entire hotel had a funky odor, but our room was by far the smelliest... The beds were sadly not comfortable and it looked as though furniture was missing from our room. And what kind of a place has a smoking area without an ashtray?!? We will not be returning to the Comfort Inn and Suites in Fort Madison, as we were completely disappointed.

To sum up my review in two words, I would say 'good enough'. Upon arrival the room was clean, neat, and looked well prepared for its next guest. My room was located on the first floor pretty close to the lobby and breakfast area. Despite this, the room was quiet. The bathroom included two bars of soap, and separate little bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The in room mini-fridge was very disappointing, as it was only a fridge, and didn't even have a cold box to semi-freeze things. The bed was also disappointing. For a hotel of this caliber, I expect beds at least a fair bit more conformable. Breakfast did impress me, however. Although it was packed pretty tight, there were quite a bit of options! Definitely better than other similarly priced hotels I've been to. I did not visit the pool during my stay. All in all, the rooms were quiet and clean, breakfast was nice, and the staff were mostly courteous. Beds did disappoint, and the fridge was a let-down. Also I should mention, it did not matter to me, but there are not in-room safes for your valuables to be stored in while you are out of the room. To be safe, you probably want to take your laptops and jewelry with you in your car if you leave for the day. I would stay here again.

Nice, clean, comfortable room and good breakfast in the morning. I thought there were sufficient food options.
