I went to this school and as much as I would love to rate it better, I honestly can't. I did have a few wonderful teachers there, Jack Balthazor, Wanda Bagwell, Terri Miller, but most of them are retired now, besides Miller. Any who, this is one of those schools where if you Dont have money or a certain last name, you are looked over. Even the super smart children, seem to still get looked over. Sure they get recognized during award ceremonies, etc. But it to me, it isn't a healthy environment for most kids, especially ones who already have security issues, or issues in general. The office staff and counselors only seem to care about the kids who as stated above, have last names or old money. They are prized here while others are looked over. Not to mention the lack of sports and activities including how much the music program has went down hill. If you want your child to succeed I would recommend them go right down the road to Jackson or East Jackson, even Jefferson.
