We meet at the Southwest Florida Masonic Center at 10868 Metro Parkway in South Fort Myers, 33966.
Now in its 10th year, The Community Free Synagogue is a new and exciting model for the 21st century American synagogue: more a spiritual village than an organization! You don't "belong" to the synagogue- the synagogue belongs to you through your participation in the life of our congregation, whose mission is prayer, study and benevolent acts. We comfortably support ourselves through a spirit of volunteerism and by the generosity of the hundreds of households that make C.F.S. their congregational home and our area's largest Jewish congregation. Our music is vibrant, worship uplifting and highly participatory, and our setting relaxed and informal. There are no fees or charges for any of our programs or classes, and we do not solicit funds. At C.F.S. you will never "pay to pray."
Our mission is prayer, study and benevolent acts.
Traditional Friday Sabbath Eve Dinner is at 6:30PM every week. There is never a charge and reservations are never required! Worship begins at 7:30PM each Friday evening.
Torah Study with the rabbi is preceded by a light breakfast each Saturday from 9:30-11:30 AM.
