Our office includes Dr. Roger Achong, Dr. Patrick Capozzi, Dr. Danielle Hinton, Dr. Elliot Chiu, and Dr. Lynnette Nyberg, who along with a caring staff, are all dedicated to providing your child with personalized, gentle care that he or she deserves.

Pediatric dentistry is an age-defined dental specialty recognized by the American Dental Association that encompasses both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for all children, from infancy through adolescence. A children's dental specialist is a practitioner who, after becoming a general dentist (often called a family dentist), has completed an additional two years of post-doctoral training in the recognition and treatment of children's oral health issues.

Pediatric Dental specialty education includes child psychology, behavior guidance, preventive techniques, restorative dentistry, supervision of orofacial growth and development (braces), interceptive and comprehensive oral health care, caries prevention, sedation, pharmacological management, hospital dentistry and the treatment of children with special needs. These skills are applied to the needs of children and to treating conditions and diseases unique to growing individuals. With the specialty education, pediatric dentists have the training which allow them to offer the most up-to-date and thorough treatment for a wide variety of pediatric dental problems.

American Association of Orthodontists defines an orthodontist as uniquely qualified specialists who diagnose, prevent and treat dental and facial irregularities to correctly align teeth and jaws. After graduating from dental school and then completing the required two to three years of specialized education in an accredited orthodontic residency program a dentist becomes an orthodontist.

Our doctors are trained to evaluate proper positioning of teeth and jaw structures, checking for the influence of any habits your child may have. A thorough exam will be done to evaluate the health of your child's teeth, gums and mouth. Our office will make child specific recommendations for the need of sealants, fluoride and other services based on your child's individual needs and habits.
