Tiny counter spot inside Uwajimaya that serves affordable and yummy Chinese comfort food. I think their star here is the Chicken congee. Unlike Mike's Noodle House or other restaurants, their food is perfectly packaged for take out and they focus on perfecting just one dish... Great for if you or someone you care about is feeling sick or lazy.

Great congee! If you're unfamiliar with congee, it's a type of rice porridge usually served with meat. The way Congeez works is a little bit puzzling at first: There is no formal restraint, but you may pick up or get your food delivered. I recommend against delivery as it is significantly more expensive. Ordering for pickup on the congeez website is the best way to go. There's even a first-time coupon (6 dollars off). The pickup location is at 1714 N 44th St, Seattle, WA 98103 (between N Wallingford Ave & N Densmore Ave) in Wallingford. I've only tried the congee with pork meatball and century egg (for one extra dollar, which was definitely worth it), but it was of great quality. I also ordered the Chinese donut with condensed milk and the pickled vegetables which were also very good.
