Re. rabbi Zev Cohen during the start of the Chicago Eiruv:
* All of the local Roshei Yeshivos -- including Rav Zucker and Rav Francis -- opposed it.
* Young rabbi Cohen entered the Bais Medrash of my elder Rosh Yeshiva and publicly rebuked him -- in front of his students -- for opposing his Eiruv.  What a Chutzpa!!!
* In accordance with the guidance of my Rosh Yeshiva, I engaged in Peaceful protest of the Eiruv.
* One evening two Chicago policemen visited my home; they said they were sent by rabbi Zev Cohen.
* I do not know whether rabbi Cohen asked them to arrest me, or harrass me.
* With G-d's help, I convinced them to leave, as I was merely protesting peacefully!

I'm one of the many members of the shul who not only grew up in it, but now choose to be members as adults with their own families. Rabbi Cohen is a pillar of knowledge, advice, and wisdom who openly and warmly welcomes everyone from every kind of background. The shul has a wide variety of members from all ends of the spectrum, and a ton of davening and shiurim choices. It's a great place in which to raise a family and grow.
