Story

Congregation B'nai Shalom is a joyous congregation where all are welcome. Visit us for Erev Shabbat, Shabbat and for any of our social events or classes. Congregation B’nai Shalom is a thriving kehilla – a community – comprised of families and individuals spanning the generations. We are Jews by birth, Jews by choice and supportive non-Jewish family members. We are married and single, parents and those without children, retirees and young adults. We meet our varied and individual needs by sharing rituals and holiday celebrations, and through learning, community service, social events and political awareness.
Find out more at our website www.bshalom.org or call the office at 925-934-9446.

Brit Olam - Jewish continuity
Torah Lishmah - Lifelong learning
Kedushah - Enriching spirituality
Kehillah - Building community
Tikkun Olam - Social Responsibility
Tzedakah - Acts of Charity
Gemulet - Acts of loving kindness

A Conservative congregation which welcomes and encourages lay leadership. The Hazzan is a wonderful resource enhancing Shabbat services with insightful and meaningful explanations. The school emphasizes individualized instruction, tailoring the curriculum to be meaningful and appropriate for each student.
