Me husband finally got an appointment by phone to renew his passport.  I had some questions and no one spoke any English.  Drove to the address that was on the computer in Chicago and found out they had moved.  Nothing was said about that on the phone.  Finally found a memo on the door giving their new address.  Got there and guess what, they speak English just fine.  They do not take walk-ins, you have to have an appointment and a Postal Money Order.

Horrible! I needed a transit visa since my cruise stops at Roatan, Honduras. I don't understand why they have their consulates in the US and yet there's no english option when I try to reach them through the phone. I had to ask my friend to translate all of the options for me. Finally I got to someone and asked if I could make an appointment for my transit visa and they said it's walk-in only. I live in Michigan so I had to drive all the way to Chicago with all of my required documentation just to find out that I can't do it because I need to book an appointment through their website. What?! When I told them they said walk in only a week ago, they said the system just changed yesterday (how convenient!). And when I tried to book an appointment in person they didn't let me because I have to book it on their website(?!). It looked like they didnt want to deal with me at all. Very unorganized and unprofessional!

Muchas gracias a todo el personal administrativo del Consulado General de Honduras en Chicago. Fueron increíblemente pacientes, profesionales y con mucha amabilidad durante todo el proceso de las aplicaciones de Pasaporte y Matricula Consular. Mi esposa y yo en todo momento nos sentimos bien atendidos.
  A mis compatriotas Hondureños si me permiten darles algunos consejos basado en mi experiencia personal, por favor consideren lo siguiente:
-Dependiendo de su trámite consular verifique los documentos requeridos para su trámite.
-Deberá llenar los correspondientes formularios de acuerdo a su trámite.
-Compre los debidos “Money Orders”
-Deberá comprar sus propias estampillas de correo, si su pasaporte será enviado a su domicilio, esto especialmente para los que vienen de  afuera de Chicago y el estado de Illinois.
-La Matricula Consular es emitida el mismo día de su visita.
-Llegue al menos una hora antes de su cita.
-Lleve cualquier documento oficial que lo identifique como Hondureño.
-Toda está información esta disponible en el sitio de internet del Consulado Hondureño 
-Sea amable y paciente.
  Algunas veces llegan compatriotas que debido a su escasa educación académica podrían necesitar ayuda con sus formularios, considere ayudar a otros.

Fui desde kansas city MO. Sera que tuve suerte pero de verdad que estoy 
Muy complacido con el trabajo de la embajada de Honduras en chicago desde que llame (tercera llamada contestaron) para mi cita y en el consul fueron bien amables y mi tramite fue rapido. 
Vivi en houston por muchos años y el consulado hondureño en esa ciudad si que deja mucho que desear el servicio es pesimo.

De verdad gracias y muy buen trabajo consulado hondureño en chicago se sacaron in 10 de 10.

Muy mal servicio que alguien le enseñe a la persona que cobra cómo usar la computadora no sabe y hace que las personas que viajan desde lugares muy lejanos con temperaturas bajo cero y llegar donde la señora mal educada no puede cobrar si usted no lleva el money order exacto porque ella no lo puede poner en el sistema fui a cambiar el money order y la persona del corro estatal de USA que porque no lo aceptaba los que había comprado antes aunque eran la misma cantidad pero ella solo acepta uno porque porque no puede hacerlo con dos que con la ridícula razón que el sistema no lo recibe un money order son válidos en cualquier parte del mundo por favor .....gánense el dinero que les pagan con precios que nosotros pagamos nada es gratis
