This place used to be really good they changed over ownership. And when they did that the service went down the drain for food quality hostesses are nice servers are friendly don't have to wait very long unless it's a weekend. But watch out for the roles of bread that you get anything that's got bread because it is usually moldy.

Wouldn't normally talk about a bad restaurant in our area but this experience was so bad I had to share. Cool Hand Luke's has been one of my favorite Clovis restaurants for years. Something changed. Went there to celebrate Holly and Hope's birthday and was shocked about how this place has gone down hill. Our party had ordered both the rib eye and the T-bone steaks. The quality of the meat was horrible. Reminded me of a bad Sizzler steak. Both were tough and hard to cut. Wow, I remember this place for having awesome steaks. Service was disappointing as well. When we were ordering the waiter got snippy when Holly asked him about ordering a steak medium rare. "How am I supposed to know what you think medium rare is?" When I asked him if the prime rib was still available rare, he said, "No, if you want rare you have be here at 4 when we open. It continues to cook and gets more done after that so we don't have any rare left (it was 6:00 pm). Service was also very rushed. We never got to finish one course before the next one showed up. Out table was filled with half eaten appetizers and salads when the main meals were placed down. It was a horrible experience and they lost a customer.

Food was good...waiters were attentive but after dinner we stopped in the bar area to have a drink....4 of us. The bill came: my friend took out his wallet...put the cash out to pay....waitress picked it up....brought back the change...he left a tip....and the waitress returned to be paid again for the round of drinks...explained to her she had already picked it up! It was embarrassing....they were on the ground looking for money under couches...we had just had a birthday celebration with 35 people...costing a couple thousand dollars and you're going to embarrass us over a round of drinks we paid for...no apologies...no nothing! Will consider if I go there again! We offered to wait till they checked the video: but they didn't want to do that!

Food was good, service was terrible, food came out at different times, not just a minute or two but almost 5 to 10 minutes. Waitress completely forgot to bring one order. Doubt I'll go back.

The waiter did a great job. BUT, I ordered the prime rib medium rare. It came out as dry as shoe leather and at least medium well if not well done. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he went to the cook who said that it was the best they could do. He did offer me another steak but I didn't want to wait. No discount offered. I travel all over the country and that was the worst prime rib I have ever tasted. Why would they serve it if they knew it was wrong? I won't be back.
