I love shopping at Co Op stores when I come here on travel.  Its like a less pretentious whole foods.  Great variety of unique items compared to where I normally shop.  

Friendly staff and great coffee bar.  Prices are moderate, so it could hurt your wallet if you're on a tight family budget.

On the 20th Anniversary Day when the Coop offered a 20% off your grocery bill:  At 11:45 there was a 4 to 5 minute line for carts.  The store was very crowded, and the line to check out was about 30 to 40 minute wait.  But the shelves were full, the staff madly stocking as fast as they could, and everyone was quite cheerful. A pretty good experience, all told.

Not the place to go shopping for routine household items, which are pricey. But the best seafood in the Upper Valley, always fresh and with a selection that is unmatched. Their meat is nothing special, most of it select grade which is below the choice grade available most everywhere else. But the vegetables are great, and they sell Stonewall Kitchen products, who offer superb jellies, sauces, etc. Service is invariably friendly and helpful.
