We are a boutique salon located in the heart of Atlanta in the Virginia Highland area providing elite services for the last 27 years.

Story

Cortex Hair Studio was established in late 1989 as a place for creativity to flourish. Nestled on a quiet tree-lined street in the Virginia Highlands, Cortex is home to Atlanta's best stylists & creative minds. Our professional stylists have received training from the top hair schools in the country & many have international experience as well.

We proudly carry Bumble & Bumble, Oribe, R+Co, Aveda, & our own signature line of products!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this location + Rachel!  She has literally been a godsend for me.  I work in an industry where photos are constant, and after having my son, my hair was losing quality fast.  In stepped Rachel with beautiful extensions, that gave me my confidence back!  I love the relax vibe at this location and friendly staff. Such a gem in the metro area!

Emily is the absolute best!! This is the cutest salon and they sell their own hair care products, which are reasonably priced and of good quality. It is easy to get an appointment, but the parking is street parking so I hope you can parallel park.  I would recommend Emily and this salon to everyone! Pricing is in line with other salons I have been to in Atlanta.

Jessica is wonderful. I have curly hair and her cuts are so good that I never want to straighten it. I highly recommend her!

Excellent service and haircut. Emily has been cutting my hair for over three years now. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Rachel was awesome! I have thick, curly hair and she knew just what to do to make my hair look good and let me preserve a 2-min styling routine in the mornings.
