One of my favorite finds of the year. Came here during the summer months and loved the outside seating. Fantastic food presentation and wonderful fresh ingredients. I still can’t get over the burger I had. Super juicy and full of flavor. Looking forward to visiting for brunch soon.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
If I could give Cotton Hollow Kitchen above 5 stars, I absolutely would! The restaurant and bar are beautiful, and the staff was so incredibly friendly. The head bartender has created some really creative drinks - our favorites were their new Continental Kiss and Stars Over Singapore! I really enjoyed how their menu was full of comfort food, but more upscale. So many unique items too, like the pub burger that can be ordered on a Portuguese muffin! Dessert was an amazing banana trifle with amazing gelato, homemade banana pudding, and berries in red wine at the bottom. I’ve never seen a dessert like that at any other restaurant! I also really appreciated that they had a whole separate gluten-free menu so that no one feels left out. We sat in the dining room, but live music was playing at the bar, and it made a nice ambiance. We need to come back and check out their brunch next time!
Food was good, staff was wonderful. They helped my friend find parking and were very attentive. I appreciate their attention to detail. Would have loved to see more vegetables on my plate, they were pretty sparse, especially with how much the food costs. Cocktail list was nicely seasonal, as was the food menu. They had live music while we were there, the outside dining worked well for the volume.
Recommend: Pub Burger, California Dreaming Burger, Mussels, Fried Calamari, Bikini Bottom Mojito, Red Sangria. . Detailed Review: We had a reservation at Sunday 7PM and arrived 10’ early. We were immediately seated and greeted by very friendly staff. The cocktail recommendation was impeccable! Both the red sangria and bikini bottom mojito were delicious and perfect for the summer. - Mussels: The mussles were good, but let’s talk about the sauce and the potatos. The sauce is unique and smell really good, my wife finished it all. Potato’s perfectly cook, not too soft. 5/5 - Fried Calamari: squid was fresh and delicious. 5/5 - Burgers: you will have the options between port muffin and brioche, we chose port muffin recommended. We had truffle fries and sweet potatoes fries. They tasted good and crispy. The burgers were juicy and big. The California Dreaming can put me straight into food coma. 5/5 Given that the price here is very reasonable, the food is good, waiters/waitresses are friendly/helpful. Restroom is very clean, they even prepare towels, which is not a usual thing at a restaurant. I will definitely come back.
This place is everything you look for when going to enjoy a great meal. The modern atmosphere and upbeat employees were a perfect pair for the burger of the day and waffle fries. I will 200% be back and will boast this to all of my friends and family. LOVED IT
I came here on a Wednesday evening to try out their happy hour after driving by the place many times. There was plenty of parking and easy to see right from the main road. We got a seat at the bar and were happy to see the options for happy hour. They have $5 apps and then two beers and some wine going from 4-6pm. Our bartender was really friendly and made sure to check on us frequently. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and I didn't really get much buffalo flavor, in fact it seemed more like a cheese sauce on top. It was good don't get me wrong, but I would have preferred less sauce on it and more actual vegetable. Overall I'd recommend a stop in. A nice spot, interior and folks!
Thank you so much for the amazing food, atmosphere, environment, and service!! Madison was our server and she was awesome!! I can’t wait to come back and support a friends business!! Didn’t take a pic of the dessert but it was delicious! The apple sangria “chefs kiss!”
First time at Cotton Hollow Kitchen it definitely will not be our last. Stopped by for lunch they have a really nice outdoor patio area. Our server Jessica was wonderful very helpful and welcoming. I tried their How Now Non-Cow veggie burger since the description caught my eye. “White bean, chickpea & ground farm fresh vegetables, L, T, O, garlic aioli, whipped goat cheese”. I did not expect it to be seasoned with Indian spices what a wonderful surprise that first bite was! It was absolutely delicious, a flavorful, generous portion on a nicely toasted bun, crisp lettuce, tomato and a great aioli. I opted for sweet potato fries so glad I did. They arrived piping hot and crisp with just the right amount of salt yum! My husband got the grain bowl he’s vegan they happily switched the green goddess dressing for a red wine vinaigrette. The grain bowl had: freekeh, rye berries, quinoa, kale, cherry tomatoes, asparagus and cucumber. I tried some and it was absolutely delicious. My only regret was we were too full for dessert and it was a little too early for me to have a cocktail. Both the dessert and cocktail menus looked fantastic. Another restaurant we will happily return to.
Would go back for drinks. I was excited to try this place after driving pass it on numerous occasions. For starters the watermelon margarita was prefect! Well done. Next, the buratta app was decent but not worth the $17 price tag can only feed one to two people at a table. For entree I ordered the half chicken, again it was not worth the price tag of $28. There were a few pieces of dark chicken, maybe two spoonfuls of pumpkin purée and plate fully of not fully steams broccoli. The portions were off and lacked adequate seasoning. I won’t rush to come back for the food. Unfortunately, this place is located in South Glastonbury and that accounts for the pricing but it’s just not quite hitting the mark with the quality that should be expected.
Great spot to eat outside for lunch. Really fun drink menu. All 3 dining companions enjoyed their food. I had shrimp on toast and found it lacking in flavor. Truffle fries were good though. Lots of Gluten-free options.
