This is the best campground for winter camping in the state.  New, affordable, very service oriented park ranger, competent and respect worthy but reasonably flexible, and did I mention free mountain bikes provided as a complementary service.  They have at least a dozen of them which you can borrow for the day.  Awesome experience, I will go again.  There are still more trails to do!  Best weather typically in the mid Columbia region.

A beautifully kept hidden state park. The park rangers were very kind, informative, and took great care of the park. A lot of hard work has been put into this area and it shows :)

Cottonwood Canyon is our new favorite Oregon State Park. The natural beauty humbles you and the park grounds are immaculate and well planned.  The night sky is worth the drive out for anyone who loves to star gaze!  We can't wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful place.

I travel around the country and been to many state parks and have spoken with my fellow campers every visit and they feel the same as my wife and I feel.  The park is a very relaxing place very honest and friendly rangers
