A well maintained property to the maximum possible extend. We actually went to Philadelphia but being a club Carlson member I preferred to stay here. It was not a bad idea at all. Conveniently located between Philly and Atlantic city. The room was clean but the building is little old and hence the rooms are not noise insulated that well. We could hear the footsteps of everyone walking outside the door, not a problem though. Decent English breakfast and the reception staff were very courteous and helpful. Definitely I would stay here if I'm in that area again.

After spending hours reading reviews of hotels online trying to find one for our weekend vacation at Ocean city, we booked with the Country Inn. Our trip was one disaster after another (including a stolen phone at the Boardwalk and some epic bickering amongst the kids) but the bright spot in our the weekend were the hotel owners we met at the Country Inn. They were extremely kind to us and our kids. They asked about our day, let the kids play in the hotel pool with an old remote controlled boat they had, and when my daughter's tooth fell out on vacation, they knocked on our hotel room door with a card for her from the "Vacation Tooth Fairy" and inside was a $1 coin-to say she was thrilled would be an understatement! They made our trip so much more enjoyable and they were such gracious hosts. If you are ever passing through and need a place to stay that feels like your home away from home, we highly recommend the Country Inn in Melville!

The room that I was provided had a warm musty humid smell coming from the AC in the room. After settling in I took a shower and saw a huge beetle run across the floor. I immediately requested a different room and the manger did so promptly. The new room had cold AC with no smell to it. Check your room thoroughly before you decide to stay

Nice place overall. Not a fancy or very modern place but has everything you need. The only negative is the breakfast area it pretty small.

Seemed a little understaffed as check-in and getting a second blanket took quite some time. But overall, very enjoyable. Staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Would definitely return to this hotel next time we are in town.
