Stopped in to grab a bite to eat. Wife ordered chef salad after being told it was a very good size, I ordered Southwest chicken with grilled veggies. We both ordered sweet tea. When the food came out the chef salad was half the size we were led to believe it would be. The waitress came by our table a couple of times and never offered us a refill on the tea. We had planned on ordering two pieces of pie, but did not because that lack of service. So we got up and paid for our food which was $25.50 and that didn't have any tea refills. I guess you have to pay extra for the refills. We won't be back.

Great place to get a delicious meal! Very friendly staff including the owner who is quite the personality! From the chicken fried steak to the seafood, everything on the menu is to die for! The County Seat is a must visit if you're in the area!

Top 10 restaurant in Groveton! The burger was legit, but I asked for cream cheese pepper poppers and I was given cheddar cheese pepper poppers. Side note: the pepper popper squirted juice all over my arm and now I smell like an old pickled sock. My friend ate a chicken wing that had a cold bone and he got really nervous...don't know what's up with that? There was a really hot blonde customer lady with glasses in there though, I wish I got her number cause I really need a shower and a nap right now.

Top 5 restaurant in Groveton! Spicy Chicken Sandwich was awesome. Started off with a bad outing , but then the totally redeemed themselves. First my buddy ordered cream cheese pepper bites , but got cheddar cheese pepper bites. He kinda flipped out when he bit into one and pepper juice got on his arm. I do t get why he was upset. He did smell like an old pickle pepper farmer, but what's wrong with that? Next we ordered wings and I one that had an ice cold bone. I tripped out because salmonella , but I'm still alive. Now let's get to the good part: the spicy chicken sandwich. I know what you're thinking "chicken that spicy". Oh no my good friends , oh no. First they start off with a bun then garnish it with pepper jack and jalapeños. Then the chicken which is moist and delish. Then to top it off they throw Texas Toothpicks on top. Grade A spicy chicken sandwich.

Drive up was not appealing but the reviews brought us in anyway. The inside is much more attractive. I had the chicken fried steak and Diane had the much recommended shrimp. The chicken fried steak was very good. Tender and just the right size steak, hand breaded and tasty. The shrimp was also handbreaded and very tender. Overall it was great except for one thing. With all the handmade food they serve instant mashed potatoes. Yuck! That is a true culinary crime. Change that and you've got a great diner.
