This hotel was super accommodating and the front desk staff were very nice and welcoming. The rooms looked very clean and new. I actually slept better in my rooms bed then the one I own.

Received an e-mail the night before my stay stating that I had been upgraded from two queen beds to a King bed. I promptly replied that this would not work as I was traveling with a guest. I got a response back that the reservation was changed back to a two queen room. When I showed up for my stay the reservation was for a King bed and there were no two queen rooms left. Luckily we were given a reservation at another hotel by the front desk, but it was a great inconvenience and frustrating experience with the communication problems.

Good morning, I wanted to share my experience of your hotel this visit as I wasn’t impressed. I have stayed at your property a few times over the last 7 years (as I come to Lafayette for business) and I have really seen a decline in the up-keep. Here are some examples: The elevator in the hotel had something sticky on the floor when I check in at 3:30 Sunday afternoon and when I departed the hotel on Monday at 8:15 a.m. it was still there and the floor was much dirtier. The pictures in the lobby (just outside the elevator) looks as though they were cleaned with a dirty rag. My rooms (319) sliding door wouldn’t close tightly and the seal is busted and it looks horrible and the closet was missing the gliders for it to stay on the track hitting the top of my feet when I opened it. The storage room/break room facing the main entrance curtain was open revealing a dirty/cluttered area, not very welcoming. I just wanted you to know these things as I think if I’m seeing them I’m sure your other guest are too. I hope that you will address these things with your staff and see that this property is brought up to the expectations of the Marriott chain. Happy Holidays, Lee Martens

We ordered a room with a balcony, and the balcony we got was garbage. No chairs to sit and no view. Also, the pool gave me pink eye... other than that the room itself was exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly.
