Visited 3-18-2017, Stopped in for lunch about 2:00 pm and although crowded we were seated without a wait. Cracker Barrels are usually noisy and sometimes it is hard to talk to anyone with you, we found that the 2:00 timing was perfect. Food arrived quickly and was very good. We had the roast beef dinner and the chicken dinner. Would recommend this restaurant if wanting something tasty and filling. Arrive after lunch crowd if you want quick service.

Cracker Barrel, Cracker Barrel....same old, same old. Really well made-to-order breakfasts. WHY did you change your signature biscuits? Bad choice. Red-eye gravy disgusting. Salads, very good. Entrees passable-good. Desserts passable. Clean Fantastic gift shop. Gorgeous fireplace they don't use nearly enough! Ceiling fans: if it isn't Summertime, turn them OFF. Layout of tables, too many too close together, no booths. Too much clink and clatter noise from kitchen. Nothing really pretty to look at. Decor boringly rustic. Like the real wood. Like the little table lamps. Love porch and rockers/ checkers/ games, gifts. Waitstaff harried and inconsistent. Boring music. Play Old Hank and Patsy and Bluegrass. Liven up menu for lunch/ dinner. Sweet potato casserole ISN'T. Most desserts are done by method my Grandmother would have called the quick and lazy way...not authentically like she made hers. Totally disinterested in food. Still go to the gift shop though.

It's Cracker Barrel, what could go wrong? I've been to many different store in many states. Never has a bad meal. Always pleasant service.

Horrible Experience. My family and I sat down, waited for 15-20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging we were there. The waitresses took orders from all the tables around us, except for ours. When one of my co-workers arrived and sat behind us, and his order was taken, I realized were either being refused service or simply not wanted there. I don't know why, but i suspect we were simply not welcomed there. So, we got up, and I asked to speak to the manager. I thanked her for refusing service to me and my family. I will take the high road and simply not bring them my business. Shoney's on the other hand, the service was exceptional and did not seem to mind having us at their facility.

The best french toast always. Stellar service. No wait even though it looked like it from all the people and the fact the parking lot was full.
